COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
DISHWASHING COMPOUND, MACHINE (CHLORINATED, GRANULAR)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in lieu of Federal Specification P-D-1800, Type II, Class 1, for all federal agencies.
1. Scope. This commercial item description covers one class of granular, chlorinated machine dishwashing compound, suitable for use in spray-type commercial dishwashing machines equipped with or without detergent dispensing equipment. The compounds are designed to provide clean ware and remove coffee, tea, lipstick or other food stains from china and plastic under heavy soil conditions in water of any hardness level, when used at recommended washing concentrations.
2. Salient characteristics:
2.1 Physical properties. The dishwashing compound shall meet the requirements of Table I.
